Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Teach Me Twi.

These Terms & Conditions apply when you purchase products from the Teach Me Twi website. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.

Please read them before making a purchase.

1. About Teach Me Twi

Teach Me Twi is a UK-based business operated as a sole trader.

Trading name: Teach Me Twi
Email: akwaaba@teachmetwi.com
Business address: Unit 160936, Courier Point, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FH, UK

Throughout these terms, “Teach Me Twi”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating under the Teach Me Twi trading name.

2. Our Products

We aim to describe and display our products as accurately as possible.

However, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, device or normal variations in the manufacturing process.

Product photographs are provided to give you an accurate representation of what you are purchasing, but minor variations may occur.

Teach Me Twi learning products are designed as educational and recreational resources. Individual learning outcomes will naturally vary and we do not guarantee a particular level of language proficiency from using our products.

3. First Editions & Limited Releases

Some Teach Me Twi products may be released as limited editions or in limited quantities.

Where a product is described as a specific edition, such as First Edition, this refers to that particular version or production run of the product.

Availability is subject to stock.

We may release future editions, updated versions, expansion decks or related products. These may differ in design, content, packaging, features or price.

4. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product.

You will receive an order confirmation after completing checkout.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • A product is unavailable

  • There has been an obvious pricing or website error

  • Payment cannot be authorised

  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity

  • We are unable to deliver to the address or destination provided

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, any amount due back to you will be refunded.

5. Prices & Payment

All prices are displayed in the currency shown on our website.

The product price and any applicable shipping charges will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

We may change our prices at any time. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted by us.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Available shipping methods, destinations and charges are displayed during checkout.

Estimated dispatch and delivery times are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless we expressly state otherwise.

Please make sure the delivery information you provide is complete and accurate.

If you realise you have entered an incorrect address, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help if the order has not already been dispatched.

Further information can be found in our Shipping Policy.

7. International Orders

We may offer shipping to selected international destinations.

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Unless expressly stated otherwise during checkout, these charges are not included in the product price or shipping charge and are the responsibility of the customer.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products they order can legally be imported into their destination country.

8. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you may have statutory rights to cancel your purchase, including the right to cancel eligible orders within the applicable cancellation period.

For eligible change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for the cost of returning the product where we have informed you of this requirement.

Products should only be handled as much as reasonably necessary to inspect them. Where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary causes a reduction in the value of the product, we may be entitled to make an appropriate deduction from the refund.

Full details of our process can be found in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your statutory consumer rights.

9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, not as described or you receive the wrong product, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Please include your order number and, where appropriate, photographs showing the issue so we can investigate.

Where a product does not conform to your statutory rights, we will deal with the issue in accordance with applicable consumer law.

10. Intellectual Property

The Teach Me Twi name, branding, card designs, illustrations, written content, educational materials, product concepts, website content and other original materials associated with our products are owned by or licensed to Teach Me Twi unless otherwise stated.

Purchasing a Teach Me Twi product gives you ownership of the physical product you purchased. It does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property contained within it.

Our products and materials must not be copied, reproduced, scanned, republished, commercially distributed, resold in reproduced form or used to create derivative commercial learning products without our prior written permission.

You are, of course, welcome to use your purchased cards for their intended personal, family and educational use.

11. Resale

You may resell a genuine physical Teach Me Twi product that you lawfully own where permitted by law.

However, you may not reproduce our cards, packaging, artwork or educational content for resale or represent yourself as being affiliated with, authorised by or officially representing Teach Me Twi without our permission.

12. Educational Content

We take care when developing our Twi learning materials and aim to provide useful, culturally informed educational content.

Language can vary by dialect, context, speaker and usage. Accordingly, variations in pronunciation, vocabulary or expression may exist.

Our learning products are intended to support language learning and conversation practice rather than represent an exhaustive linguistic reference.

13. Our Responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK consumer law.

Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, these terms do not affect the legal protections available to you.

14. Events Outside Our Control

Sometimes circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect our ability to fulfil an order, such as postal disruption, severe weather, customs delays, transport disruption or other unexpected events.

If this happens, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and communicate with affected customers where appropriate.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our products, business operations or applicable requirements.

The terms applying to your purchase will normally be those in effect when your order is placed.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.

If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory legal protections available to you based on where you live.
